Using Adobe Illustrator, I created a set of 3 modular-grid typographic compositions sized 5x5” each, using a combination of letterforms. The choice of letters could be from my name, a piece of literature, or a random assortment of letters that you find interesting. I could overlap or crop the letters but I wasn’t allowed to distort the letters. Once I selected my font and saw the letters form, putting the letters together to make an obscure picture was easy and fun. The font type wasn’t too thick or too thin. It was just right for the amount of white balance that I wanted in my image.
