I was tasked with choosing a quote from a list and make a poster from it in such a way as to leave a lasting impression, attract the viewer, hold the gaze, and leave them with the message of the quote in a way that is appropriate and memorable. With this quote a brainstormed only for a short while as the idea came to me immediately. I came up with the idea to incorporate the light bulb into the design for the poster. My thinking behind this incorporated the light bulb because light bulbs are associated with ideas. So, I thought about having a grayed-out poster that was only illuminated by the light bulb. Thus, creating light in a dark situation.
